I play video games....that's pretty much it.
Finished the new Wolverine game. Overall, I loved it. Had a blast. Story was very compelling. Combat was visceral, felt like an older PS2/3 gen beatemup, my favorite genre that isn't Mario. Only nitpick would be those segments where Logan has to go around inspecting things slowly, but still fine.

Me going to buy the new StarCraft game in 2030: “Not enough minerals”

Shame there's so many things now we can't eat without risking explosive diarrhea. Luckily my diet remains unchanged, still eating PB&J sandwiches.

I am so excited for the new Control game. I’m a Remedy fanboy, sue me.

I had quite a weekend. Finally finished Batman Arkham Shadows VR. Incredible game. Also finished Bioshock Infinite again, still love it. And finished Cronos the New Dawn. Also an amazing game. I have been truly spoiled with great games lately.

Playing Call of Duty mobile with a controller makes me feel like a god. People with touch controls have zero chance lol.

Beast of Reincarnation is sooooo good. It’s not really a souls like, the game is pretty easy, but it’s fun and that’s the point. Love the world they made here and the music, and you have a large dog companion. This was made for me apparently.

Nope...still don't like Halo. Never understood the appeal. Does it have a serious tone with its cartoon enemies? Does it have a silly tone with its very serious protagonist and apocalyptic story? Tone failings aside, guns have no kick, exploration is bland, vast empty, samey rooms, etc...blargh.

Holy poop, Microsoft is awful. Got a new PC, for whatever reason MS won’t recognize it as a device on my account. Nothing works. I wouldn’t care but it seems to prevent Call of Duty from working. My autism requires this to work despite barely caring about this game….

My YouTube feed literally had the top 3 videos with thumbnails that said “we’re screwed” apparently YouTube knows I’m a pessimist.

The layoffs that keep hitting the game industry is heartbreaking. The news of ID software taking such a huge hit is insane. They make nothing but amazing games with the best tech in gaming on top of that, and Microslop finds no value in that.

Nothing makes you reflect on your life choices more than sitting by your high end gaming PC, while playing on your Steam Deck which is streaming games from your Steam Machine. Yep....somewhere along the line I made mistakes....

My thoughts on no more physical games is a bit nuanced. I mostly buy physical games, but I’m not married to them. But I’m also not interested in an all digital PS6. I have virtually no PS digital library. I’d be starting from zero. Why buy a $1000+ machine that I have no current library for?

Just played through Silent Hill Downpour for the first time. I thought it was pretty good. Not sure why it got so much hate back in the day it was a decent time. Not amazing or anything, but pretty good. They should do a remake of it someday.

Not gonna lie the Steam Machine is way better than I thought it would be. The price is still crazy, but for that form factor I don't see how you beat it.

The Steam Machine setup was harder than it reasonably should have been. It didn't recognize my Steam Controller which is odd. Hooked up a keyboard/mouse and then got through an update and then it worked. How do you launch a system where its own controller doesn't work? lol. Oh dear....

Man Steam hardware gets to me lightning fast. It goes from preparing for shipping to it’ll be at your house tomorrow lol.

I will say the death of physical media will escalate the console wars even more. Everyone will have to make a “bet” that their chosen ecosystem will continue. Imagine if Sony doesn’t make enough profits on PS6 and decides gaming is done for them. Goodbye game library. Same for Microsoft.

The news of Sony stopping physical games is sad. But it makes sense. These consoles are basically PCs and PCs haven’t had physical releases for a very long time, somehow we’ve survived. It’s still anti consumer and alienates a lot of people just to save a few bucks.

Well I think the effects of global warming finally hit me directly. Tried to play my PS3 last night and it overheated and shut down which has never happened before. Probably needs a thermal paste redo, but still….

I buy and play way too many video games because I am easy to please. Yet, I couldn’t give a crap about GTA6. I just find them boring. No enemy variety, gunplay is usually sub par, driving is sub par, the characters aren’t likable. Give me Saints Row 2,3, or 4 any day of the week.
