crunch isn't something that happens from the passion of the worker. it happens from the failure of leadership. this is an admission that they don't know what they're doing over there.

Yesterday was the 5th anniversary of the release of "DEATHLOOP"

It's a very special project. I shifted my role from level design to direction. I crafted things that challenged me in ways I'd never considered. I grew with my team

I became Dana Nightingale 🏳️‍⚧️

Thank you for all the love & support

before i read up on what flock is capable of i knew it was scary, but once i read reporting on exactly what cops are able to see and what information its able to parse from very little input, it genuinely became terrifying that this is in every corner of the country

In the same way that the invention of photography incentived the development of abstract art, the silver lining to this immense dark cloud is that a type of "dirty" art will be incentivized. One that revels in ugliness and the vulnerability of human error. The end of auto-tune.

hey why is no one talking about the licensing situation with this A24/SCP thing? are they releasing it under the same cc-by-sa license every SCP project is required to have? are they betting creative commons won't hold up in court?

seems like the kind of question a journalist should look into idk

It was Gloomwood's early access anniversary this weekend, and I'm very grateful for everyone who has supported the game over these years.

I know the craving for the bank update (and eventual 1.0) is high. We're working on it. For now, here's a small tease of the bank:

Really good thread for any other devs looking to publish their work
the problem with games is that a lot of people still try to market it as technology and that only worked when it was new technology. It's mature enough now that "check out this amazing feature" no longer matters. Games-as-tech makes it easier to market a game based on lists of things in said game.
(this is why lots of the time you'll see lists of the numbers of things people have made. It's relevant with, say, a puzzle game to say '200 levels' but 'six biomes including fire world, ice world' isn't the hook people think it is)

people buy games cause it's got shit that interests them in it that has to do with the fantasy and characters. not many people will buy a game because of the feature set.
