I’m gonna say virtually all authors need to get serious about textiles. Who is weaving them? Out of what? Who’s turning them into clothes and how much does it cost and do you have any idea how HARD all of that was before modern mills
To write in the classic high fantasy mould, you need not be hung up on food specifically, but there must be SOME very mundane thing you're sincerely interested in and prepared to describe in excruciating detail every time it comes up. Clothing. Furniture. Architecture. It doesn't work without it.

We found that the sepsis rate in second-trimester pregnancy loss hospitalizations increased by more than 50% under Texas’ abortion ban.

Here’s how we did our analysis.

My god. The Heritage Foundation, which mercilessly attacked transgender kids in order to protect the "integrity of women's sports," is now attacking the legal basis for women's sports. The transgender student decision is barely 2 weeks old.

A maternity ward doctor donated his own blood during surgery to keep a pregnant patient alive.

One woman gained fewer than 10 pounds over her entire pregnancy.

Another collapsed and had seizures during labor.

Photographs tell a story of two mothers determined to help their babies gain enough weight to leave the hospital — only to face little to no food again.

Just throwing out there if Platner withdraws at any time prior to July 13th, the Maine Democratic Party will have until 5 pm on July 27th to name a replacement on the ballot.

If you're concerned about whether Platner is the linchpin to taking back the Senate, there is a non-fiasco way out.

Absolutely insane that Cape Verde — a country of 500,000 — played Spain, Uruguay and Argentina…and lost to none of them in regulation. Easily one of the greatest performances in World Cup history.

Fuck ‘em up, Pope.
These Catholics are not merely “traditionalist.” They specifically reject the Catholic Church’s statement in Vatican II that Jews do not as a people bear responsibility for the killing of Christ. They want the Church to return to its roots in historical anti-Judaism.
BREAKING: The Vatican excommunicates bishops from a breakaway group of traditionalist Catholics that consecrated them without Pope Leo's consent.

Translation for people that didn't take divinity classes when they were younger:

By "traditionalist" they mean "pro-fascist." As in, the super racist part of the Catholic Church whose founder actually helped nazis round up Jews in Lyon for the Holocaust, and who was mad when France was liberated.
