Do diners actually exist where the waitresses wear the little diner lady uniform every movie has? I've never seen one. Some places have uniforms, but it's usually just color requirements and tight clothes. Maybe it's just where I live. I also used to think Sizzler and 7-11 were like 555 phone #s.

First time I encountered EA was in online sports gambling forums when DFS was exploding in popularity. The game is para mutuel and heavily tilted in favor of the top .1% of players, so a $$ transfer, and EA was a blatantly cynical way to present that as a positive thing to blunt criticism

Never see anyone talk about bereavement pay but it should be law, and it should be for more than parents siblings and your own children. No one should have to worry about their PTO balance or God forbid losing their job just to be with family and mourn a loved one.

My Audible library is almost entirely fantasy and horror, with some economics and history. For some reason, when a book ends and it previews a suggestion "based on (my) listening habits" it's some rancid right wing horseshit, and I can't find a button to tell it no.
