Don't let this distract you from the fact that Level 5 still uses Gen AI in their games and the CEO is in love with GenAI. Growth is a video game dog whistle that means "make as much money as possible while paying as few artists/workers as possible".

I've got the basics of the Data Recovery (fishing) minigame sorted. All games should have a fishing minigame!

I definitely have to tone down the electric arcing sound effect, but I've got the visuals pretty much where I want them.

To add to Steam indie games, they also all have unnecessary fishing minigames, according to the many posts I see every day on this app.

To me, there's no such thing as an unnecessary fishing minigame. Like, oh no, my steak is too juicy and my lobster is too buttery!

Yeah I've done basically nothing since this but now there's a progress bar for the fishing minigame to make it more obvious wtf is going on. It's a bit experimental still and it's not important enough for me to share the game page again tbh. Also the performance may have very slightly improved.

Ms. president, a second Sunken Bell update has hit the weekend! I have done away with dynamic lights and returned to my trusty old lightmaps, performance has improved!
