I started out pretty AI neutral, aside from the environmental concerns, but I'm, being pushed into hating it more and more because it keeps making things I care about actively worse, and the results keep speaking for themselves in a really bad shitty way.

I should've gotten the mushi clear by now tbh, but pesky real life has been getting in the way, I've got a really nice festival gig coming up and it's my band's first one so there's been a lot of pressure as it's imo a few of the member's first 'serious' gig

the other day when I streamed mushihimesama I had a really helpful chatter advise on cutbacks and I'm watching my normal eschatos clear I'm realizing how much easier some of those bullet patterns would've been if I knew then what I learned playing mushi lmao

A lot of expensive proprietary software is gonna get decompiled and get free versions. You're gonna get free adobe suite, free turbotax/quickbooks, free microsoft office, free CAD, free logic/cubase.
And they're not gonna be alternatives, they're going to try and function like the original

The Dizzy news about it being Gen AI is kinda revealing a pattern... a lot of older devs were working with cutting edge technology in their heydey, they were essentially pioneers. And Gen AI is basically letting them relive that experience, they get to be pioneers again

LRP my first thought where this also applies is video games because the negative effects of it are Fairly Obvious to me
though I think there's a caveat, where if you are simulating another game, accuracy should be the biggest priority.

I played through Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans
Honestly a super interesting game. I can see why it wasn't released but also like damn it would've kinda ruled in its own way lol
Puzzles were on the easy side though... their lack of adventure game design experience was pretty apparent
