This Genmon is said to have migrated into human habitation to feed off the copious bugs and insects that lawns and housing often attract. Shy creatures, many believe they started as carved stone frogs and were then given life by the powers of nature. This is perhaps because in their idle time, they prefer to remain motionless like the stone and metal they resemble.

Jetoa are native to the plains and deserts of Eastern Hayle, one of the few Genmon that call that rugged land home. Highly social, nests of Jetoa can grow hot enough to create enduring bonfires out on the plains. In olden times, the nomadic peoples of Eastern Hayle would make camps around these fires.

Splounder are a main food source for many Genmon and without this predation the waterways of Hayle would be overrun with them due to their mating habits. Many Trainers from the coast of Hayle have Splounder as their first Genmon due to their abundance.

When a Pidgidiot eats enough and collects enough shiny things it is said they evolve into Pidgenius. Many Professors believe that their perceived simple-mindedness is a ploy to help facilitate evolving more swiftly. Pidgenius build elaborate nests in the cities of Hayle and many are considered works of art.

Found in almost every city in Hayle, Pidgidots are said to be too simple-minded to clean themselves and people often liken others to these Genmon in cruel barbs. Looks are deceiving, Pidgidiots are known to be quite shrewd and pick out park-goers with food as marks, following them around for crumbs and offerings of food.

Known for their large size, Boarse prefer to keep to themselves in dark, wet environments. They accumulate mosses and other vegetation in their fur and survive off photosynthesis. Disturbing a resting Boarse is ill-advised as once roused, they are startlingly fast and ill-tempered.

Ousatian are a rare sight in Hayle, they’re said only to prowl the most wild and far flung parts of the Region in present day. A legend goes that the founder of Hayle was raised in a tribe of Bouxer, and when they stepped out of the wilderness the entire pack had evolved into Ousatian.

Bouxer can be found in the iconography of Hayle for as long as there have been people habitating the Region. Seen as a protecting spirit, Bouxer statues are placed in many homes and public buildings to incite the spirits of Bouxers past to protect these areas.
