I think too much about agent native primitives

the less i understand the code generated by agents, the more emotionally attached i become to writing tests. tests are basically therapy for ai-assisted coding.

The agent native cloud needs boring primitives more than magic

Whenever I get overwhelmed with the pace of agent-native engineering it helps to ground in what I have learned not what I have yet to learn

Taste is the part that does not get automated away. If anything, agents make taste more important because the volume of plausible-but-mediocre output goes way up. Someone still has to know what good feels like.

We need to get better at translating the value of frontier agent primitives with the broader world - cloudflare is cooking so much stellar stuff and it feels like the world just hasn’t caught on yet

it’s a love hate relationship with coding agents.

But it’s subtle

The hate comes from forgetting how to learn

Unless I make an explicit point to slow down in understanding new engineering concepts i lose all hope of ever retaining sufficiently

personal domains could be so much more than they are. for instance act as custodians of our data and identity.

Is anyone thinking about creative ways to solve the classic "chicken and egg problem" of kickstarting new niches on bsky?

Perhaps the open nature of the protocol has some unique opportunities to seed content before adopters..

It sure feels like a lonely world out here when the Svelte Feed has a mere 5 posts from the last 7 days 😢

Spent much of today recreating VStack, HStack and ZStack as Svelte components.

The results are decent, but still nowhere near the DX of SwiftUI. Makes me appreciate SwiftUI's pure declarative syntax so much more.

Moderation is a crucial aspect of social networks. However, traditional moderation systems leave communities vulnerable to sudden policy changes and mismanagement.

To build a better social media ecosystem, it's necessary to try new approaches.
