I appear to have gained a few hundred followers as a result of being part of an autism starter pack, so maybe now is a good time to do some kind of introduction to my life and work in that realm.

Hi! I'm an autistic writer who covers autism, pop culture and the middle of that Venn diagram.
Someone in my life, not naming names, asked me if there was Angine fanfic. So I popped onto A03 to see. There is a tag, and there are currently 34 works in it. (For context, that's about as much NTB fic there was before the movie was released.) It all appears to be pretty cheeky and self aware.

Okay need to get some sleep but I do want to say how incredibly lovely it is that Endo got to speak on his own trauma of being from Miyagi during the 3/11 earthquake. Just a really bittersweet and touching way to relate to Kumamoto's current struggle, and to reach out to poor Amakusa as well.

This is how I feel about the show, too.

...and how I feel about the puppet, of course.

I've had a vague sense of the band and this song for ages, but I hadn't really thought much about it until it popped up on a mix I was listening to yesterday while doing things in the outside world. I immediately put it on repeat for the rest of the trip.

Perhaps we should talk about this. Perhaps Carney should make the case for selling to the Canadian public before a reveal like this.

In his latest efforts to distance Canada from the US, Mark Carney appears to have traded Canada's penchant for aping recently failed American efforts for...aping Thatcherism??

I'm sorry, Endo got the mic to address a crowd that has recently suffered due to the result of a massive earthquake? And their hometown hero, a man he clearly admires a lot, is injured? Well, that's a perfect storm of big Endo feelings to absolutely destroy me.

I do not have frivolous purchase money at the moment (or ever again?) but if I did, I would get myself the first two seasons of Hullaballoo. Just to watch the absolutely horrified deer in headlights adventures of David McCallum (S1) and Robert Vaughn (S2) as they try to appeal to the kids.

I saw the world premiere of this tonight at TIFF and I'm pretty damned excited about the future of autistic art.

Not that I’ve understood any of the other hydronym fights, but this one is really doing my head in. You already have a city that shares its name with the damned lake!

I think falling back in love with a Russian named Illya from the 60s at a time when a bunch of other people have also become consumed with a Russian named Ilya from a modern show is a pretty good representation of what life is like for me in general.
