Once again, because it apparently needs repetition:

We, are social primates. On our own, dead social primates. Some form of 'socialism' then, should be second nature to us.

Were it not for those of extreme privilege who deliberately confuse it with excesses it is only tangentally related to.
At today's GOP presser, Mike Johnson links Mamdani to Obama, "who made health care unaffordable with his own socialist scheme."

Calling subsidized private health insurance a socialist scheme is a quick way to show everyone that when you decry "socialism," you just mean anything that helps people.

The irony here might be that "genius IQ" POTUS is grammatically ignorant, using 'that', when 'who' is actually what grammar teachers would scream for.

More than 1.5 million kids were missed in the last U.S. census. The undercount was 2.1% for children <18, and 5.4% for those <5, the highest rate of any age group.
Now the Census Bureau is proposing major changes to 2030 Census rules that could make some children even harder to count.

As there is little conservation about them, particularly when it comes to conserving democracy, let’s not use the term “conservative six”.

Authoritarian six is a better descriptor.

Must defang him in this election, however. He's "immune", and ignorant, and he's got > 2 more years to "help" those that need no help, while hurting every innocent he "touches".
In the average of the seven most reliable and recent national polls that asked voters what they think of Trump, 64% said they disapprove and only 33% approve. His worst polling numbers ever. Maybe we are finally, truly at the beginning of the end.

I mean, you can't find a hot button?

Then you probably don't deserve power. You Yanks have had your faces smeared in it. You have no single "This one, was way over the line?"

Once you get your supermajority, you can talk 'vague', or even 'specifically vague'.

Right now, you need a violation that pulls at heartstrings. Not a list, a single whopper.
That's about as diffuse an idea as you can come up with.

You need to find a massive, singular, ethics violation, and ride that pony into a supermajority.

If you can't, god help ya.

The small- to mid-sized entrepreneurs, who should enjoy a lot of "laissez-faire", get scared by the propaganda of the behemoths, who desperately fear being "well regulated" (to borrow a 2A phrase), into voting for "total laissez-faire for all", which the behemoths then use to squash them like bugs.

So agree. The issue isn't 'socialism' 𝒐𝒓 'capitalism'. All economies are mixed. The tough part is discerning the appropriate degree of market freedom based on size. Americans don't even try anymore.

We humans know how to do this peacefully (if such a word can be used in conjunction w/ an execution).

But really. We know what drugs to use. We know how to avoid pain and needless suffering.

That we (both we Japanese, and Americans) still persist in butchery tells me that we like the suffering.
"Tennessee death row inmate Christa Pike still alive after failed state execution attempt, lawyers say"

Ghastly. State fails in trying to execute a 50-yr-old woman for a murder she committed when she was 18.

Maybe Tennessee, and the rest of the US, should get out of the execution habit.
