it's funny because I much prefer the bare bones version of hit the lights, but the bare bones version of stained glass eyes just doesn't hit the same way. the fully orchestrated version though 😍

Oh also forgot to mention they have pockets on their lower sides so they can tuck away the bigger part of their wings while crawling
fly around by transforming the skin into airfoils. They have tiny muscle fibers called plagiopatagiales in their wing skin that allows them to adjust the shape and stiffness of their wings, which is obviously very important for this flying mammal who has no feathers or other structures-
