65 countries offer incentives to lure film and TV productions away from the U.S.

America has no national film tax credit.

I'm co-leading a bipartisan bill to create one, because every country outbidding us for American work needs to know: we're done losing.

The unions and studios that make American film and TV are backing our bipartisan national film tax credit: IATSE, SAG-AFTRA, the Teamsters, DGA, WGA, and so many more.

It's a 20%-30% tax credit on American labor for productions that shoot here, built to bring back the jobs we've lost overseas.

Before Congress, I produced film and TV. I know how productions pick where to shoot: they follow the incentives.

Right now, 65 countries offer them. The U.S. has no national film tax credit. (1/2)

For more than a year, I've worked with Rep. Brian Jack, a Georgia Republican whose district is home to Trilith Studios, to stop film and TV crews in Georgia and California from losing work to productions overseas. (1/2)

@schiff.senate.gov and I have been working for years to stop film and TV production from leaving the United States.

Last week, we introduced a national film tax credit in both chambers: Sen. Schiff and Sen. Tim Scott in the Senate, & a bipartisan group of us in the House.

🎥 📺 Dozens of countries offer tax credits that steal our film and TV jobs. And until now, Washington hasn't fought back.

The bipartisan bill I'm co-leading, the Motion Picture, Television, and Entertainment Revitalization Act, changes that. Here's how it works:

I spent my career in film production before Congress. I've watched this work, good paying union jobs, get bid away by countries offering incentives we don't match. Today I'm proud to introduce a bipartisan, bicameral national film tax credit to bring those jobs home
