One day they woke me up so I could live forever.

Fat gay train nerd sharing various comments and fangirling over webcomics, DC Metro system, and games of all varieties. Occasionally anime trash.

This profile is primarily for me to follow friends, creators I think are cool, catch updates on art/comics, games and transit. If you follow me and don't fall into those, there's a good chance I'll block you. It's not personal, but I'm not here to be perceived beyond my interests.
If I found out any managers at my company were screening candidates like this I'd never let them near an interview ever again for costing us countless potential qualified people over the stupidest thing I have ever read.
I’m sorry, but if you bring an iced coffee - or any damn beverage at all - to a job interview, you’re disqualified. It’s not hard, people.

It's the simplest thing, these little videos, to show that government is working, and more to the point, working for you. It kicks the teeth out of that old Reaganism about how the scariest statement is "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."
On September 17th, we filled our 200,000th pothole. See something that needs fixing in NYC?

Probably a mixed bag. Hopefully happy that I don't hate my body like I did then. Probably bummed about the being single again/still. Probably disappointed that I didn't become a rollercoaster engineer, but also happy I'm living a comfortable life, that I get to travel and am more social than ever.
Would 20 y/o you be impressed or disappointed by you today?

Weep's cover of Shut Up and Drive climbed deep out the well of my brain today and now it's stuck in my head. At least it's not on my music app, or it'd be immediately back in my playlist.

Finally nabbed one of these suckers. Wish they'd announce when the actual 50th anniversary ones will be available.

I remember playing Saints Row 3 and Holding Out for Hero playing through the final mission. Realize that it's been done time and time again, but that was my first time hearing it and damn what a song to make a moment pop. RIP Bonnie Tyler, you were iconic.

Definitely curious to see WMATAs numbers for this year. Skipped several sardined Silver trains before finally getting on an Orange train and then catching a slightly less crowded (but still pretty full) train back from East Falls Church.

Only one for me, but definitely a lot of "do not recommend this channel" for ones I used to occasionally check out or watch when they showed up in my feed.
That moment when a channel that you used to watch regularly starts using Al thumbnails.

Seeing that something is using AI makes me disengage pretty quickly. Particularly in event spaces. Oh you used AI for your promo poster? What else are you cutting corners on? How much will you care if someone is being shitty to guests at the event? It just shows a lack of interest in your own ideas
People like Kane and many many others that do care about human art and the creative process have been a beacon of hope while trying to navigate making art in this current climate.

Persepolis was one of the works that really both changed my view of the medium and also really shaped my empathy for people, cementing how much people, no matter where, just often wish to live and love their friends and family.

I cannot ever recommend enough taking the time to read Persepolis.
Oh no 🥺
The French-Iranian artist, comic book author and director Marjane Satrapi, who became world-renowned with the graphic novel and film "Persepolis," has died at the age of 56.

She also directed Chicken with Plums (2011), The Voices (2014), Radioactive (2019), Dear Paris (2024)...
