Serializd Saturday check-in
I recently started:
☆ Derry Girls: very funny. Comedic seeds are often planted early and take time to sprout
☆ Bad Monkey and Murderbot: way better than I was expecting

I was only a supervisor of others for about three years, I've conducted my fair share of interviews. And I don't think I would have given a second thought to someone having an iced coffee with them
One woman came in with a thermos, I remember that. I hired her. 🤷♂️

In about a decade we'll be watching Disney and Netflix pick over the bones of Paramount and Warner Bros for pennies on the dollar
All while those working in production in California experience decline
What a terrible acquisition / merger

This movie is so deliciously cheesy. Every line, every situation, each new story beat. A bunch of big kids playing pretend
And it's working for me

Oh, this is good so far. I will need to go back and watch the first methinks
I've liked Kyle Gallner ever since I saw him as Bart Allen in Smallville. But every time he pops up, his character dies right away 🫤

I played plenty of games growing up, but none actually pulled me in and engrossed me in the hobby until Mass Effect 2
I wanted to make sure every crew member received justice, that they all survived to see the fruits of their labor

Several months back I got AMC+, which included Shudder, for $2.99 / month for a year. It has def been the best streaming platform purchase I have made
I have watched so many entertaining movies, especially horror, on this. Even discovered some shows I liked that I had never heard of

Talking about demons (literal, biblical demons), spinning conspiracy theories about bribery, still repeating out of context quotes from five+ years ago, etc

Good halfway through. It reminds me of somber, and yet strangely tense, Victorian era ghost mysteries
Ariāna Osborne's titular character is a near doppelganger of Lily-Rose Depp's Ellen Hutter from Nosferatu (2024)
