The thinking man's Ernie Pantusso
I flipping love this
It's exactly 12 years since the passing of Mark Bell and his influence can still be heard today. His work over an extended period with Björk created some of the most brutal, beautiful work she's released to date but today we choose this gem from LFO.

Just bought a wireless Android Auto adapter for the car. Apropos achieving surround sound.

Who would have thought this tedious sexual predator who's not even fit for walking football wouldn't just take the hint and fuck the fuck off. Stunned, here.

A further sign the temps are cooling outside, the cat is currently curled up asleep on my lap rather than out on the deck, searching for a sun beam. She's old, 15, and has developed a small snore.

We all know what's coming, we just don't quite know in what form
Trump shouts out Russ Vought and then says, ominously, "we have some big surprises coming up in a few weeks, right Russ? He's gonna be one of the important people in the history of our country."

Any excuse to pitch in: it is the best, just a joy, a surreal, funny, puerile world.
The Melchester Odyssey is the best series any podcast has ever produced. It has evolved into an entire universe of 4D chess in-jokes and surreal madness, all from two blokes reading a kids football comic.
Statistics that we've just made up show that over 1,700 new podcasts have been launched already this week - and that NONE of them are any good.

Delve into a world of quality with our ongoing Melchester Odyssey series, charting the history of Roy of the Rovers.

Just bought a new pair of recovery shoes for post run aches. Managed a very slow 12k this morning. We shall see how this progresses.

Unless it's "I'm an absolute wanker" I'm not interested in Conte and his thoughts.

If you can get down to Ferring with a kite before it gets dark, please do.
On Ferring beach with Rory flying his kite.
Local resident has just come down to us from her house to ask us not to fly it as it is, "Spoiling her view."

She wasn't impressed and quoted bylaws.
There are no bylaws.

The kite is still flying.

Who radicalised this domestic terrorist - a white English man?

What social media, TV channels, or politicians influenced his views?

If he was not white, how different would the response from Reform UK be?
A man builds an IED.

He sets it off in a busy public street.

Shrapnel flies about hitting cars, homes and a child's bedroom.

It's a miracle nobody is injured.

And Reform MP Sarah Pochin calls his imprisonment "disproportionate" and "two tier justice."

In lighter news, this reminded me to buy the new @warringtonruncorn.com album today. He's excellent, you all should do likewise.
ALSO: Today is @bandcamp.com Friday! Give a little more to an artist! Buy some actual music! Ignore AI as it doesn't know its arse from its face!

Counterpoint: surely thinking you've won the lot, playing beautiful football only to find it all being based on cheating and lies is THE most City thing of all time?
October 2, 2026 at 12:20 PM
We are being encouraged to engage with AI as a time saver, you see shit like this and wonder how you can ever trust its output. In the spirit of being seen to engage, I asked our work version to do a task that I find annoying in excel. It fucked it so badly it said "I don't trust my output"...

Also "with fans saying...", he has fans? Really?
Imagine being a sub editor in 2026, confusing the word “ageless” with “like Gazza if you designed him in FIFA Career Mode”

Filming yourself slashing a dinghy up, livestreaming said footage and then crying in the dock, pleading not guilty is almost impressive and whilst tragic. Was there a petard on Danny Tommo's boat on which he was caught?
