Today would’ve been my father’s 95th birthday.

In search of a better life, he came to America with only $2.43 and a Korean-English dictionary. He had no friends or family here. Like many immigrants, he dreamt of the promise of what this country could offer.

Each day I work to honor his memory.

Loved catching a moment with these tiny, sparkling visitors, from spring.

Rattlesnake Lake in Washington State. There's some old tree stumps strewn around the edge of the lake and sticking up from the lake. The sky is split in half - red like fire on one side, and blue like ice on the other. I'd never seen a sunset like it. There's a bunch of trees lining the lake in the distance.

Photo of Mount Tahoma/Rainier from Tipsoo Lake. It was very overcast that evening and I thought sunset would be a bust until the clouds parted just enough to let light in, casting pink and orange colors on the clouds. The mountain is barely visible has mist or fog hovers are the trees on either side of the mountain. The lake shows some of the reflected colors of the sky. There's still some snow and ice around

I have def posted variations of this series. This is a different version preserving color accuracy and showing more of the environment. This series absolutely tested the limits of my camera weather sealing! That could have been expensive! 100/100 would do it again!!
