My Quar Tractor was in action yesterday in another fun game of Clash of Rhyfles. It survived, but didn’t exactly have a glorious first battle.

Quar tractor is finished. Really pleased with how it came out and the officer giving directions is perfect for the setting.

Going to finish painting my Quar tank. The main body is an Italian FT3000, I scratch built the turret and could not resist adding a commander giving orders!

Played a game of Saga for the first time in over a year. Vikings vs Anglo-Danes. Bit bloody but that’s to be expected.

Bit unusual this, got bored of painting uniforms so scratch built some Quar trees called Jojub out of hot glue. Yes I know what they look like. Could only find one colour reference for what they look like. 😆

Did a bit more work on my Quar pluck counter. Went over some of the paint work to tidy it up and changed the bottle colour. Also changed the colour of the counter and printed it to look smarter.

Painted my first Quar. In the game you get Pluck points so making my own counter. Went with a Quar with wine bottle and baguette picnic, amongst the supplies. I think I’ll change the counter wheel colour to blend in a bit better.

Forces deployed, played three games of Grimdark Firefight, two draws but for the last game I won comfortably.

Robot Lords all ready for a game of Grimdark Firefight this weekend. The glow effect on the weapons wasn’t as good as I’d have liked, but generally pleased with these.

As I’ve been playing Clash of Rhyfles with the Quar, I thought I’d build a house that fit with the the Quar asthetic. Apart from a few coffee stirrers this is made entirely of EVA foam.

One of those simple scratch builds. Found this in a bin, I think it’s a tray for some marker pens. Now it’s a refinery of some sort.

Although I bought the 2nd edition box set of Battletech back in 1985. I never actually played a game. Thanks to some friends I finally managed a game today, 41 years later 😎

Found this vinyl figure of Dredd in a box in my mums cellar. I’d thought it was long gone. I built and painted this in 1997!

Played a game of clash of rhyfles at the club. Always good to try out new rules. It’s very much a skirmish game, with some nice touches, like the activation cards. I did lose both games on the day but it was fun, I’d recommend it.

After the previous post I decided to just get on with painting the crater. Quite pleased with the results.

I acquired a large 3D printed sci-fi base as part of a bundle from www.beowulfminiatures.com but I was never going to have anything that big to put on it. Therefore I’ve put it inside a crater to act as a base for my 3mm/6mm games.

Quick easy build using off cuts of MDF, to be used as sci-fi standing stones. I finally got to use the Krautcover - Eternal Fields Base Cover I got from @badsquiddogames.bsky.social last year!

Some how I’ve ended up with lots of projects in need of paint, rather than just in the pile of shame. Need to finish my robot army, got a mix of necromancy and others. Some toy vehicles with tarps for more terrain features and 3mm sci-fi buildings from Brigade Models.

I have a friend with a 3D printer. They let me have some of the supports normally destined for the bin. I made them into ruined buildings.
