A bit since my last share, but between work, and dev, and a dash of illness, it's the first thing to go. However, this is my first time sharing a #WIPWednesday from beyond the demo. This is actually from an outline -- but when I get into it, my outlines grow bits of prose. #gamedev #indiedev
WIP Wednesday from The Bitter End. From this distance, you shouldn't be able to hear her. But the wind, or the ship, carries her voice to you: that raspy tone chanting low and unfamiliar. Your hand tightens around her pipe, which you must give back.

A little treat for myself after publishing "bleeding hearts for the lonely mistress." I already had a different publication of carnilla but this one was super pretty.

Slipping into #ScreenshotSaturday after a full day's count of bugfixes and tweaks addressing feedback from playtesters! #indiedev #vndev #datingsim #sapphic #gamedev

The dimmed sections are those available in the full game and not the demo.
A screenshot from the upcoming sapphic visual novel The Bitter End, inside a white border over a twilit sky background. The screenshot itself has a similar sky background but dimmed with a vignette. The center says "the ship's mystery" in glowing handwritten text, and around it is a constellation of subjects, some dimmed: "the ship's power, the ship's health, the heart (dimmed), you, the mark (dimmed), the water, those who leave. The bottom under the screenshot has the logo of The Bitter End, a Screenshot Saturday title, and a caption "Did a ton of work on the journal screen today...!"

WIP Wednesday for the Bitter End. Stranger: Your eyes are nice, you know. The eyes in question blink and then widen, unmistakable even through the visor's shimmer. Neruda: ... Neruda: Thank you. Neruda: ... They clear their throat. Neruda: I have 20/10 vision. If not better.

Trying a new style to share for meme Monday~ I love incorrect quotes and there are so many good quotes out there to be used!
Wishlist The Bitter End on Steam to be notified for the upcoming demo 💞
A discord-style conversation log with characters from The Bitter End showing an "incorrect quote" style meme. Little icons of character portraits, color-coded names, and a line at the bottom indicating the source of the quote being incorrect-quote-templates @ tumblr. Jiye: Are you a big spoon or a little spoon? Wren: I'm a knife. Anahita: She's a little spoon.

I think there is no such thing as "not subtle enough" when it comes to writing trans fem characters cause unless you have the character literally say "I am a trans woman" you're gonna so many non trans fems deny the characters identity in every way imaginable.

The blurb/back cover for Bleeding Heart for the Lonely Mistress. Big thanks to @nerinn.bsky.social for doing both she did a fantastic job.

Blurb for novella bleeding heart for the lonely mistress blurb says They say a home reflects its owner. If so, what does an ancient yet pristine manor tucked away within an old neighbourhood say about the presence that lingers inside? Liz is a simple nurse working day-to-day at a blood bank, abandoned by her former lover with an ever-dwindling list of friends and acquaintances she can ask to take her in. She turns to an odd ad placed by a woman named Karnstein searching for a tenant. The only prerequisite: that Liz steals blood for her.

Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈 and here's the monthly current status for The Bitter End! A couple more playtests done with feedback addressed, more art delivered, and a big code review done for everything that is relevant for the demo~ I also did a lot of editing polish, and started outlining post-demo scenes!
