the upcoming elections are simply too important to be doing risky things like nominating muslims, opposing wars, standing up for immigrants and trans kids, or taking a strong stand against paramilitary squads summarily executing our neighbors outside their homes. i wish this weren't true but it is

Anyway if you are demanding an apology on behalf of the former head of the DNC you were literally born in the wrong century, the universe intended you to be a Russian serf and you are fucking with the grand design by using the Internet at all

Two things can be true:

1. Platner sucks in every way possible, and was conniving.

2. Jaime Harrison did an incredibly poor job while running the DNC, and the idea we should apologize to him is also not it.

We've got to stop stanning politicians, I'm begging you. Remember the context.

being in the DSA is fun because you get to spend most of your time helping people with social anxiety canvass for democratic school board candidates and then go online to see people with blue wave emojis in their bios compare you to pol pot

Reached for comment, a spokesperson for the Democrats lamented the party’s inability to defeat these wretched little ingrates who refuse to shut up while the adults are talking

This former DNC chair sums up what’s wrong with the Democratic Party. These people believe in nothing.

With this perspective, politics is nothing more than a sporting event where you’re supposed to just root for your team, not push for real policy changes that will help people.
And let me be clear: I don’t care if you’re progressive, moderate, or conservative.

I’ve worked with Democrats across the ideological spectrum. We didn’t always agree, but we understood that building a stronger Democratic Party was part of the job.

This guy’s never heard of a pyramid scheme. It literally only works if you tell people.
If someone knew a perfect one secret trick to make money with no risk they would never ever tell you

@raffic.bsky.social we are so excited to see you in Montreal on Sunday with our 4 year old! He’s been standing in our living room, playing his little guitar, and singing his heart out to your concert videos half of his life!

Get bent w the phrase “purity test” ffs. Do people not get what they’re saying is “do not have standards”? “Do not change your mind when you learn new facts that are v troubling — & stfu when a person’s actions & explanations around those facts are shifty, hostile & display a lack of maturity?” 🤡

In this scenario, is the human actor John McClane, Hans, Al, or Argyle?
I'm sorry if this is mean but "what movie should be remade with all but one actor replaced with Muppets?????😂" is deeply "Die Hard is a freakin Christmas movie good sir"-coded

This has to be one of the most tone-deaf posts ever posted by a politician.
It would be bad if this was a Democrat posting this from a different state not under siege by ICE Gestapo. But from a senator from Minnesota, it's totally bonkers.
Yes it’s cold in Minnesota—but we embrace it. John and I were in Hastings with Mayor Fasbender for Hockey Day Minnesota to watch my alma mater, Wayzata High School, take on Rogers. Photo taken with parents right after their son scored a goal!

The Democratic approach to building back power is:

1. Avoid contentious issues;
2. Pivot all discourse to unobjectionable appeals like costs;
3. Leave moral opposition to citizens of conscience, who have lost all trust in the party, but hope they vote Democrat anyhow.

Wrong top to bottom.
The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves
On expecting a different result.

look he's seen the polling, this is not a statement about what's effective, it's a statement about what they want to be committed to doing with power should they win. if they run on opposing ICE then they'll have to actually oppose ICE. this is ideology masquerading as electoral strategy
NEW: In this interview, Chuck Schumer describes the "five buckets" Dems think are key to their possibly winning a Senate majority in 2026: housing, "the high price of food [and] food monopolies playing a major role there," electricity, "the high cost of childcare," and health care.
Zero Chucks Left to Give
Chuck Schumer now sees a path back to the majority. Can he manage his way through it?
