The original reporting of what happened in Portsmouth was a joke. This is just a hate mob that has been whipped up who are now targeting the RNLI. Throw the book at them.

Where can future jobs in Aberdeen come from?

Further offshore wind projects need to wait for grid upgrades, while reigniting stalled hydrogen or carbon capture projects will take time.

In the meantime, decommissioning – making safe the rigs, wells & pipelines – could act as a bridge for workers.

Such a profound book on ecology & our connection with nature from the unique perspective of modern farming.

The writing is sublime. I recommend this to everyone I know working & volunteering in ecology.

The shadow business minister Bradley Thomas claimed in parliament that new apprenticeships fell 9% from 2023/24 to 2025/26.

They actually rose about 11%. Mr Thomas was using English data comparing an incomplete year with a whole one.

In a debate in the Commons, Conservative shadow minister Bradley Thomas compared data for the latest nine-month period with the whole year of 2023/24, making it sound like apprenticeships had fallen.

Aaaah this explains such a lot …
Evangelizing isn’t for the people they evangelize.

It’s a cult practice that purposefully places members in situations where they are being socially inappropriate, and it uses the feeling of rejection they get from that experience to reinforce their bonds with their fellow believers.
