Luke's Black Metal Sketchbook is an ever-expanding database of the political affiliations of black metal bands and labels designed to help well-intentioned fans avoid accidentally supporting far-right individuals, and maybe find some great anti-fascist music in the process.

When my father died, by chance someone shared a stand-up bit about how capitalism doesn't give you time to grieve. And I felt that. And I just heard the single most devastating story of my life from a new close friend and... I should not have to be at work right now....

Whenever I read about some guy who was born in 1216 my brain instinctively goes to "All... Bastards Are... Fascists?"

Thinking a lot about the new Carly Rae Jepsen being the same length as Paysage d'Hiver albums.
Just one of their many similarities.

When Graham Linehan wet the bed again recently over Jon Ronson calling him a deranged bigot, something no one mentioned was his description of being abandoned by his "supposed friends". In his own excerpted examples, Jon was being a great friend...
real friendships involve the other person pushing back against you, having needs, being busy, not being able to devote themselves to you. we know from the experience of the powerful that having somebody at your literal beck and call is a factor in driving people mad.
