A wonderful point (to a QRP, read it). There is a US version and it pains me how many engineers discard or ignore their oath for … money? Clout? I have a wedding ring tattoo, but I still wear my engineer’s ring and remember my oath “…that my skill and knowledge shall be given…for the public good.”

Man, I am absolutely too old to keep traveling like I used to. Just got back from a single overnight where I was up at 0400 and arrived home at 0200 two days later. Used to be able to get up and get right back to things, but I feel like I left my brain in the lounge during the layover

Re: Talarico, I have the distinct impression that he’s walking a fine line here to try to support trans rights whilst remaining electable in Texas. I grew up there, I know a lot of folks there that are not yet fully on board the trans rights bandwagon but still are looking to vote for Talarico.
After the breach of solidarity, the part that irks is his campaign thought the "if it risks safety or fairness" qualifier helped them with either side. If you are cowards fine but make your cynical little calculation in private and then publicly put your whole ass into that message and find out

If there’s one thing that every parent knows, it’s that you have complete control over what your kids do for their careers, and that no kid has ever gone against a parent’s wishes or done something embarrassing for the parent. Kids are notoriously good at thinking of the parents first, at all ages.

Count me as absolute condemnation - most irresponsible and outrageous after-the-fact connivance I’ve seen. One tiny downdraft or wind gust could have killed thousands. There’s a reason MSA is 1k over congested areas.

I know that I travel more than most and I still am missing 5 - dang it! Got a trip to ND on the radar, though. Also can’t believe I’ve lived in 12 - doesn’t feel like that many, but they’re spread over a long time… 👴🏼
