When we do dog adoption shows, interactions on how dogs handle kids/cats/other dogs are by far the most common question. We don’t learn that without fosters, and that’s to say nothing of springing a dog from a shelter to boot.

This is a big reason I do a lot of fostering for ABTCR – there are kids/cats/other dogs coming and going here all the time, which makes for a great data-gathering opportunity on which dogs should go to which potential adopters. Sometimes there’s a curve, But hounds pick up on pack dynamics quick!
