i’m just so fucking sorry that my muslim friends have to be hit with this despicable racism every single day. it’s not ok and you should not have to tolerate it. this country belongs to all of us.
Trump on El-Sayed: "His name is actually Abduladadalalalala. It's Adulbabababababa Mohammed Al-Sayed. So his middle name is Mohammed. So I was right. He's a jihadist."

In the name of the object, the morphism, and the commutative diagram,
top candidates imo:
- group theory
- topology
- number theory and complex analysis, as a pair
- fractals / chaos / nonlinear dynamics ofc
Also though, if you're going to worship math, linear algebra is a solid choice

Disagree. Linear algebra is to down to earth. Worship category theory.

On Wednesday, the City loaned the Rat Hole to the United Center for one night only as part of the Smashing Pumpkins' Rat in a Cage Tour.

But nobody outshines the star power of Chicago's dedicated City employees!

Extremely nice sweaters.

Anytime I’ve bought a (for me) expensive sweater it’s been much I’ve actually been able to tell the difference.
question for the audience: if you were ultra rich (let’s say $25M), what completely frivolous thing are you buying?

One small problem is trying to read (and therefore grade) handwritten assignments, but a worthy tradeoff
Only 3 classes in, but so far the in class device ban has been a huge success. Discussion and in class engagement is way up.

🚨Excited to share my new paper with Jessica Gottlieb and Damien Kelly! Everyone is worried about POLARIZATION. But are we all experiencing it the same way? 👉 We argue that to understand polarization, we need to bring POWER back into the conversation /1

My final article as a Vox staff writer is finally live!

After months talking to Democrats about plans for the next presidency, I learned that they have quietly developed a true equivalent to Project 2025 — one much more ambitious than people understand

The radical Democratic plan to change the government for good
The party is finally mounting an aggressive response to Trump’s slash-and-burn second term. Could their ideas for a rebooted, re-imagined Washington actually work?
