SFM - New Arrival 5-8/8

#comic #Spacestation14 #SS14 #moth
Comic depicting the moth looking troubled as the salvage specialist makes a call to the captain on his comms. The bits the moth can overhear are troubling, despite the reassurances that things will be fine. The young moth won't even cuss in his own thoughts. He's then dragged off towards the bridge to meet with the captain. Comic depicting the moth, hopeful to keep this interaction simple, but reassured that this very big step is the right move. The two enter the bridge and meet with the captain. The salvage specialist is very enthusiastic in his push to get the brand new person promoted right away. The captain is hesitant, and eventually declines. Comic depicting the uproar from the salvage specialist over being turned down, however the captain offers a compromise. While still daunting, the moth accepts the offer to step up. The captain requests his identification card so it can be updated in the systems while the salvage specialist celebrates his personal victory in convincing the captain. Comic depicting the salvage specialist reassuring the moth of just how good this setup will be. The moth is hesitant, but determined to do well. The captain returns with the updated ID card, which the moth inserts into their PDA. The PDA displays their name, and new title for the shift.

SFM - New Arrival 1-4/8

Those first days really stick with you
#comic #Spacestation14 #SS14 #moth
Comic depicting a shuttle station, an ETA arrival time board, a figure filling out questionable paperwork, denizens moving to board a shuttle, and a panel with color on a young, pink moth, clutching paperwork as they ride the shuttle. Comic depicting characters departing a now docked shuttle, the moth looking over a confusing sign that offers too little information to someone so new, peering into a bar where a fight has broken out, getting lost in maintenance tunnels, and eventually asking for help from a friendly borg. Finally, their destination is reached. Comic depicting a conversation between the moth and the head of personnel. Paperwork is dropped off, and a few questions are asked to help orient the moth. The suggestion of asking the departments for help and starting with cargo is offered. Comic depicting the moth traveling to the cargo department. A figure is fussing over the lack of a commanding officer, interrupted by the moth's arrival. The vulpkanin takes note of the moth, looks smug about the newness, and proclaims this new guy should take over as the commanding officer for the shift.
