Sought out the seclusion of Ennerdale for today’s hike. Cold, clear waters to keep the dogs cool, plus plenty of shade from the woods.
Stunning views of the majestic Pillar on one side of the valley and the equally impressive High Stile on the other.
Definite Yosemite vibes!

Flowery meadows, a pair of grey herons, Helm Crag and Steel Fell in the distance and a visit to the (famous) Swan Inn. There was a chap playing an acoustic set in the beer garden at the foot of Stone Arthur. Which was nice!
