I wrote about huge hounds called Moonhounds, in my Aulirean gates series. And then, named my puppy after my favourite of them,Star.
Given his behaviour through the first full moon since he hit his doggy teens. This may have been a mistake.

I’ll be honest. I have had no problem doing promo before, but the fractures across social media and the fact I appreciate I haven’t used any of them heavily for a couple of years- because life. Is feeling a little overwhelming.

Today has been a bit of a day. The pup managed to get one of my medicines - ( way out of reach- he parkoured for it) and has been scaring us and the vets all day.
He’s home. Not because he was out of the woods, but in hope that less stress will be the answer to a lower heart rate. It’s working

I know I talk about the dogs a lot. I also include dogs in my books. And. Apparently, they are some of the best dogs in fantasy.

Sometimes it sucks being asthmatic. I’m well controlled, and my family are amazing. But one accidental oops with a body spray, and we are all now shivering as I have to air the whole house out. 🫣

I think I have a thing about last books in a series.
I don’t like letting go of the characters. This means my bookshelf has a LOT of last books sat unread. It’s actually a huge compliment, because while I don’t read their end. I can still imagine them alive. 1/2

I still look at these covers and smile. Maybe I’m just biased, maybe it’s also because if you’re going to break your car getting photos of a specific place for your cover artist… you feel a little more attachment than usual.
