I’m Happy in a Hat (hatwoman).
I’ve spent years in compulsive hair-cutting cycles - measuring, cutting, sometimes crying.
So this page will be hats, humour, and honesty about the strange things we do to cope.

I don’t understand the feelings I get when I cut, the quest for symmetry is all consuming, when my hair gets long at the back, one side curls up and the other down, I just can’t handle it, to point of complete hair sabotage. No hat pics, no joy, just utter bewilderment. 5 years of this now. Arghhhh!

I have wonderful friends. They set up this WhatsApp hair chat group for me 2 years ago. One of the group is a hairdresser, she has been helping me ‘fix’ the outside of my head, now the inside too!

Measure cut repeat. Started fiddling with it while watching tv, then found it uneven, went to check in the mirror and 5 hours later, I have short chunks missing from my hair. It’s always worse. When will I learn.
