I think about the last line of this all the time. I've never yet found a metaphor to describe this feeling which I don't immediately discard because it isn't as perfect as this. It's annoying because I want to write about the sensation in other contexts but the best line has already been written.

Had to resort to using a chair (Thank you @aberdeenartscentre.bsky.social for the loan). I need to get better at telling people to slow down when I walk with them, walking quickly buckles my legs, they get tired and discombobulated.
