Almost daily bit of religious commentary (this isn't scripture directly) in the cousin chat "God is in the mist of it all." What mist? Does god manifest directly in fog thus making the SF Bay one of the holiest places in the world? And waterfalls that mist constantly basically holy springs?

Fun of the morning, my cousin's sharing a text from my uncle stating they could be thrown in jail for using the football season tickets that my aunt gave them because he sold them to someone to make a quick buck despite not, you know, actually having them.

Man I hate giving an interview where the interviewee is perfectly nice, has relevant experience and obviously has no skill at all in interviewing and just falls flat.

Dear people who deliver packages, while I'm sure it's extremely frustrating when the package lockers are full, but that probably doesn't mean you just throw them on the ground for people to find. I didn't even know that package was supposed to be there.

This is one thing that I've thought of a time or two (though I probably picked it up somewhere because I'm not that deep :-P) A true machine intelligence wouldn't go through the same evolutionary pressures we did and thus probably wouldn't care about killing all humans.
And if (when?) machine life does arise, it is going to do so in a form and format that we may not even recognize as akin to us. The great sin of anthropomorphism is that we must presume all sentient or sapient life must follow the same mold as we did, as if there is only ever one evolutionary path.
