Come to the launch of the anthology I'm an editor on! It's been a real labour of love from everyone involved to put together over 40 stories from members new and old of our local writers' group.
#Glasgow Haverin is nearly here! 'Mon and celebrate 40 years of the GSFWC with our book launch on 21st October at Waterstones Sauchiehall Street. Grab yourself new stories by Christopher Caldwell, E.M. Faulds, Neil Williamson, Eliza Chan -- and maybe some homemade tablet too!

It has been so rewarding working with local writers - some of whom are having their very first publication - to celebrate my Glasgow SF community as both a group with a long legacy and a welcoming and ongoing meet-up to talk writing and get feedback from other creatives
We interrupt your regularly scheduled feed for a special announcement:

"Milton, Morrison & Valentine are delighted to announce: Haverin. An anthology celebrating 40 years of Glasgow SF Writer’s Circle, with stories from members past and present. Coming October 2026." #GSFWC40 #Haverin

I baked bread for the first time! I'm really happy with how it came out and have now mostly eaten it. (Not pictured: naughty high-fired top shelf loaf which will become future toast; flour fucking everywhere)

I did not plan as if this was going to be one of the sunniest weekends of the year, but I did go swimming and buy a new incense burner and resubscribe to FF14

I climbed conic hill over the weekend, which is great, a big climb for me, I love being in nature, etc, except I do now also make a sound like a thwomp from mario 64 whenever I move between standing and sitting

I realised I forgot to share pictures of me having fun at Wyldwood Renfest here - what a fun weekend of dressing up, drinking mead and getting medieval with my friends

reform only hold 13% of the seats in our parliament and reform + tory is fewer than the number of tory seats in the last term

in scotland this election has been an unqualified win for progress and human rights and we should be really proud

The end of an era, as 404 Ink closes it's doors this Summer - this might be your last chance to get We Were Always Here and Fierce Salvage, two anthologies of queer Scottish writing edited by @ryanvance.bsky.social and I, for half price!
Towards our closure in a couple of months (😭), we've just marked ALL of our ebooks down 50%, so you can grab some of them for as little as £2.25 until they all disappear on Wednesday 27th May.

I think young men who want women to find them masculine and attractive should get into butchmaxxing (wearing flannel shirts, hiking, adopting shelter animals, doing DIY repair jobs for useless lesbians)

Fellow creators of horrible chimeras, what do you do with the spare parts? I've got a lot of bird heads, snake middles and human legs lying about the flat and I don't want them to go to waste.

I had a very relaxed easter weekend of arts, crafts and little trips - I tried lino printing, gave blood, went to Greenbank Gardens and threw together a pair of pyjama shorts from scrap fabric
