My cat has been a cat today.

🐱 “I want to jump on the windowsill.”
👩‍🦰 “Okay, here you go.” (holds the bottom of the curtain for her)
🐱 “Ah… no, I’ve changed my mind. Bye!”

10 minutes later…

🐱 “Hello, me again. I think I want to go up there.”
👩‍🦰 “Okay… here you go.”
🐱 “Nahhhh! Bye!”

In my household, the humans are both down with an autumn cold. But the cats are fine, which is the most important thing!

It’s that time of year when the cats start sitting on the laundry drying on the radiator.

A Tuesday spent looking at the rather comfortable-looking sofas in the lobby and thinking how well consulting firms seem to be doing, wherever you are in the world.

Bought shiny new storage boxes to finally sort out the attic, but... absolute zero progress was made. 📦🫠

I found this book when I was clearing the attic the other day. My English tutor at uni gave it to me when I decided to come to England, nearly 30 years ago. Nostalgia…

What’s amazing is that this feeling is universal.
