not getting rights or protections because some predator wants to protect his own power is a common situation for trans people, e.g. doctors for instance opposing easier access to medical care because they want to protect their role as gatekeepers. anyway, no way i'd vote for this worm for anything!

i just think there's so much unexplored room in the conversation for strategies about things like: how do we really move forward? what is the role, if any, of technology in our lives? how do we forge consensus when disparate groups have needs and impacts? and the answer to all that is deregulation.

any word experts wanna weigh in on whether it’s a “half protection” when someone takes away only some of my rights?
I'm old enough to remember the half-measures for LGBTQ folks back in the 90s, like "don't ask don't tell." At the time, that was progress (better, but FAR from perfect). We have the choice to vote for the "imperfect party of half-protections" or to allow the MAGA-dominated GOP to destroy EVERYTHING.
