#DEI “activists” :
How many of us need to be attacked, injured, and DIE, for you to care?
Asking for a growing number of friends.

“I went to 9 years of Jewish school and I’m a Ph.D. Candidate, and I still managed to learn nothing!” Kinda brag.

When I was a kid, @lyndacarter.bsky.social’s Wonder Woman paved the way for millions of girls to see themselves as more than damsels in distress.
If you are a woman who see herself that way, a mother of girls who wants them to perceive themselves that way,
That’s DEI!
"DEI" is not a bad word. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamentally American – a reflection of who we actually are.

After centuries of erasure, we've seen progress in representation in recent years, and I don’t want to go back.

I truly believe that everyone should have access to mental health.
And
I’d rather work with a sliding scale and be paid less, than work with insurance companies.
So I joined Open Path Psychotherapy Collective, and whoever calls me through them can set their own fee.

#Ponderers, As a therapist watching @thewayhome.bsky.social, I appreciate how James Gallanders’ and Chyler Leigh’s brilliant portrayals of Victor and Kat, highlight the raw complexities of sibling loss, which is often riddled with survivors’ guilt and abandonment.

As a therapist, it’s my job to hold space to my clients at the most vulnerable times of their lives. To me, that means that I also have to hold a safe space for the most vulnerable people, those who are at risk from the very systems that are supposed to serve them.

I am SO HAPPY we got a different electric and not a Tesla! Becuase that means I won’t need to change cars to one that doesn’t benefit the Zig Heil.

As someone who experienced serving under incompetent alt-right leaders, I approve this message.
And I was not even in battle.
I for one, am grateful to have a Fox News host with zero administrative experience, a drinking problem, and who is accused of multiple sex crimes in charge of the armed forces when my son is drafted for the wars in Greenland and Panama.

I admit to not watching reality TV, so I did not know about this particular loss, yet my heart is with every parent who went through the ordeal of a stillbirth.

Excited to share this article that I contributed to. Shout out to @getqwoted.bsky.social

We grieve people we’ve never met, or who weren’t even real, because they touch our lives in profound ways. Artists and well-written, masterfully portrayed characters speak to our emotions. We form attachments to them, and with attachment comes loss.
How have artists or characters impacted your life?

The holiday season may add a layer of complexity, stress, and pain, or it may offer distraction and relief. Most likely, both.
In any case, let our language honor the fact that the holidays are temporary but our grief is not.
Throughout the season I’ll share tips for #HolidayGrief.
