Stittsville, I'm running to be your next City Councillor!

We need an advocate who will fight for our community's interests at City Council. That's why I've set out an ambitious vision at the core of my campaign to deliver on them.

If you like my vision for Stittsville, support me at kevinhua.ca!
Thank you again to Chander Shekhar Arya for inviting me to participate on his show, Chai with Chander, and giving me the opportunity to share my Vision for Stittsville!

Thank you to Kat and Marion for organising the Equity and Inclusion Forum, it meant a lot to participate in this first of its kind forum in our community.

Having spent much of my life to build a more inclusive community, I look forward to continuing such work as City Councillor!

As our community grows, we must ensure that we're planning and building livable neighbourhoods where people can easily meet their needs.

We need a Community Benefits Framework to ensure developers contribute benefits and meet their comitmments to build livable neighbourhoods.

Stittsville you have hit another milestone, our team has delivered more than 250 signs in our community! We've even had to use my old signs to keep up with demand!

Want to help paint Stittsville green with signs? Request your own at kevinhua.ca/sign to show your support!

This morning I attended the pop-up consultation for the proposed Fernbank District Park. It is an exciting proposition for the community and I look forward as the plan for it continues to develop!

You can add a comment or provide feedback about the park at engage.ottawa.ca/fernbank-district-park.

Very happy to have been a part of Chai with Chander where I got the opportunity to give my 30 second pitch and top priority for Stittsville!

Thank you to Chander for organizing this opportunity and inviting me onto your show! You can check it out at youtu.be/DaSHbvjOJEI.

The infrastructure project I look forward to the most is the Kanata-Stittsville Primary Care Health Hub started by Councillor Gower

For 10 years, I had to rely on walk-in clinics in Kanata for medical care, the health hub is much needed for local access to medical care.

The intersection of Stittsville Main and Abbott has seen many accidents and close calls and crucial upgrades are needed.

I'm pushing for a Vision Zero Action Plan that lay out the changes and get the prioritisation to move more ambitiously to make our roads safer for everyone.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Ottawa-Stittsville and Legacy of Hope Foundation for organising today's Truth and Reconciliation Event.

We must continue to advance reconciliation in Ottawa including to elevate Indigenous voices and consultation in the City's policymaking.

It was so great to see so many gather for a ceremony to rename Ralph Street Park for Marion Gullock to cap off a busy Saturday morning.

Congratulations to the Gullock family and thank you to Councillor Gower and his team for organising this to honour a great community leader.

Many in our community have to walk for 15 to 20 minutes to get to their bus stops so it's no wonder it's not a viable option for many people.

A bus station would act as an anchor point for us to run more local routes improving coverage and making it a viable option for travel.

Got in some extra steps Sunday morning walking in the 100th Ottawa-Carleton Trailway parkrun! I'm not much of a runner, the only running I do is running for office. 😉

Congratulations to the organisers, volunteers, and participants on achieving this milestone!

It was a joy to be at yesterday's Mural Launch Party to see the final result by these young artists!

Thank you to those who made this possible and gave these young artists such a great opportunity.

I hope this is the start of more public art projects along Stittsville Main!

Stopped by Nathan's Annual Lemonade Stand in Rouncey Park today! In three years, Nathan has raised $7000 for the Ronald Mcdonald House Ottawa!

It's great to see young people stepping up to make a difference. You can help donate to his fundraiser at ronaldmcdonaldhouseottawa.ca/nathansfundraiser.

What a great turnout yesterday for the opening of Crossway Park in the Connections neighbourhood and as a part of Stittsville Neighbour Days!

It's been a long time waiting but I'm very glad that the park is finally completed for the many families and kids in the neighbourhood to enjoy!

Our new batch of candidate cards have arrived now with a much more current picture of me!

You might find one in your hands or at your door soon so keep an eye out for them, Stittsville!

There are many cases where developers fail to deliver on infrastructure they commit to like connecting Maple Grove to Stittsville Main.

A Community Benefits Framework would ensure benefits from major projects and developments and developers are held accountable to deliver.

I'm on Iber where there are no sidewalks between Hazeldean and Abbott. There is a bike lane but it offers very little protection.

People walk in the bike lane or the shoulder including students going to school. We need the infrastructure in place for safe active transportation.

Congestion at schools is making it difficult to get around. I am proposing expanding the School Streets pilot partnered with @envirocentre.bsky.social.

School Streets create temporary car-free zones that encourage safe walking and biking to school instead of driving to reduce congestion.

This election can not be won alone and relies on the many supporters who have joined! Now we need your help for October 26th.

If you share my Vision for Stittsville, pledge your vote at kevinhua.ca/pledge to help send me to City Council and make the vision a reality!

Thank you to the Stittsville Muslim Association for organising an all-candidates panel and for the opportunity to answer questions from the community!

I look forward to potentially working together to continue building an inclusive community here in Stittsville!
