I've been wanting something like this to be done for years - the telcos could have dealt with this on their own but need to be forced to do it by the feds.
I have a petition opened with the Canadian Federal Government to regulate all calls that show a phone number must be matched to the origin. This is intended to block scammers from faking a display number. This should end most scam calls. www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en...

Very big jump for the NDP here, and it's more than reversion to the mean; they typically pulled ~20% before collapsing in the Carney rush in 2025, so hitting nearly 26 here took more than just their voters coming home. Promising signs for Avi's organizing strategy, still in very early days.
