Kemi’s (clearly sincere) position on Jenrick is straightforwardly a level of personal history revisionism that is just not compatible with “being an effective leader” in my view.
"Turncoat" Robert Jenrick appears (at least) six times in the Tory tapestry. Bearing in mind he's not the only defector, that's quite a hit rate...
