Recalled the odd dream I had last night. Aside from usual themes I was woken up by playing a mech combat game that then turned into playing a small living metal thing that fed by cleaning things with the implication I'd have to do so many jobs before getting to more mech stuff.

Several, to the point I wish you could have multiple out. The two dragon whelp minions, the capybara, but the primary one is the skink. Not named yet, but they happily follow Onyx around whilst he adventures.
Does your WoL/OC have any pets? What is the pets name? Do they go on adventures with them or do they stay home?

Seems all clear regarding cat. Do have active foxes and cats in area so maybe eating something they hunted. Who knows.

Found one of the cats had been sick. Mostly liquid and upon wiping it up, looks like it's red hued? Folks are saying don't worry but hell. Cat seems okay at least?

No need to worry about the morning when you don't sleep! Although if forced to follow one (typically by friends or loved ones) Onyx tends to savor his mornings. Enjoy breakfast or sleep in for a bit, sort of thing. It's just his hyper focus tends to disrupt those plans.

Tipping the hat to the dark knight story line, but I'd pick the weapon quests. A dark look into the empire and the sinister undercurrents that exist within such groups with a horribly bittersweet ending.
For the players: What's your favorite yellow sidequest or quest line? (Not blue side quests, but the ones that don't have any content or unlocks attached that are just there to flesh out the world.) Tell me why you love it!

Metem for sure at any point in the story. Imagine they'd talk a lot about the inner mechanics and effects of the arcadion. Otherwise, anywhere after the story is done. Perhaps between Honey and Vamp if only to delay the inevitable fight.

Onyx rarely gets lonely thanks to how fiercely independent he can be. But if he does, he can become clingy when he does get to reunite with friends/colleagues.

Onyx rarely gets lonely thanks to how fiercely independent he can be. But if he does, he can become clingy when he does get to reunite with friends/colleagues.
Good luck making him aware. Onyx is usually too busy thinking of the next mission, goal or job to do to notice. If you do get his attention it's 75/25 you'll get gently shut down, often with a self deprecating joke about himself, or for him to suggest skipping straight to the punch.

Onyx's home to him is Kugane. He was too young to remember anything about his actual birthplace Yanxia as his parents fled the imperial invasion shortly after his birth. He's got fond memories of Kugane tarnished by how strained his relationship is with his Sister.

Onyx is openly the friendly type but unless he's the one initiating it, tends to close up quickly for lasting friendships. Prefers happy encounters rather than trying to forge lasting bonds.

Onyx's main job is machinist so happy days. He also would be the type to take advantage of the interchangeable nature of job stones so him using all roles also fits. Only exception is scholar, but that's on me not learning it rather than canon.

Cheating here but the dragons from heavens. Last major plot element is freeing Tiamat. They turn up in the pull together bit in EW sure, but it's amazing we don't ask them for help with rescuing Azdaja. Actual singular character? Gilgamesh. He still owes me gil.
#wolqotd but I guess more for the players, if you could bring back one character to feature majorly in the msq who would it be. Could be someone dead, someone who's been sidelined, someone from a side quest, literally anyone but our current mainstays

Cheating here but the dragons from heavens. Last major plot element is freeing Tiamat. They turn up in the pull together bit in EW sure, but it's amazing we don't ask them for help with rescuing Azdaja. Actual singular character? Gilgamesh. He still owes me gil.
Machinist for phys ranged (Love at first sight with the drill shot), Red mage for magic (looks good, great utility and the glams until 7.4) and warrior for tank (I hit thing with axe. Is good). Healer is EW astro, but sage otherwise. Not a fan of the rework.
