Rewatching the breakup episode, and noticed that Miyako's messages made a notification on Viola's phone, despite her minions saying she never forgets to turn off her phone. Miyako must be someone Viola programmed to always alert her, even when her phone was silent!
She does care, in her own way.

Viola is a narcissist who sees no worth in her true self, unable to 'shine' and relate to the Mewtypes, who are portrayed as warm blooded mammals.
But she wants that warmth too.
