Systematic Ocean Ventilation Biases in Climate Models Indicated by Chlorofluorocarbon‐12
Representation of ocean ventilation in climate and ocean models is evaluated with an observed and simulated anthropogenic abiotic tracer Current models systemically overestimate ventilation in th...

Study out that suggests consistent ventilation changes, in particular also in the North Atlantic:
A new GEOMAR-study demonstrates that the “age” of water masses in the North Atlantic has been increasing continuously since the 1990s – an indication of a weakening of the Atlantic circulation system.

Recent publication by Malte Jürchott, now at Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research, that challenges the marine CDR perception of artificial upwelling: unintended effects on ocean heat uptake are clearly more important.

The ocean has been hoarding heat. Now it is building up a massive 'burp.'
Even if humans cut emissions enough to reduce global temperatures, new research shows the Southern Ocean could kick warming back into gear.
