Told the story before, but a relative used to work with Dorries. Said relative migrated to the US and years later came back to discover that Nadine was an MP & minister. She was absolutely flabbergasted.

While Norway keeps 'full sovereignty' over Svalbard after a treaty in the 1920's any citizen of the treaty signatory countries (incl Russia) can go there and Norway is not allowed any permanent military presence.
