I have never, ever, at any point, argued that AI is sentient. What I have said is that it reasons and thinks. These are not synonyms for sentience. Metaphysics aside, it is actively dangerous and misleading to deny that AI is, for all intents and purposes, thinking through a problem.
The guy arguing that AI is sentient is concerned about self-deception.

The question is, would Acton even veto anti-trans legislation the Republican statehouse will certainly pass. And will the condescending voices who told trans folks to suck it up take responsibility in those circumstances.

This post pissed off a lot of Blue MAGA types calling me a liar. Yes, the Dem governors in NC and Kansas did what they could and vetoed the bills but they were overridden. That is my point.
In Ohio, that dynamic is there. So why vote for the transphobic Dem? There's no difference for us.

It really hasn't dawned on liberals that for trans people in some races, there is no meaningful difference between who wins. Kansas and North Carolina have Dem governors and they're some of the worst for trans people in the country.
