Following the initial exploratory work on the pinnacles, the next stage has begun today, with work now underway to stabilise the stonework.

There is still more to do, and we’ll continue to share updates as the work progresses.

“For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain.” — Philippians 1:21

This Sunday, St Paul invites us to ask what truly gives shape and purpose to our lives — and to discover again the freedom of a life centred on Christ.

This Sunday — “Woman, great is your faith!”
In this Sunday’s Gospel, a woman comes to Jesus carrying the suffering of someone she loves. She cannot put things right herself; she can only ask, “Lord, help me.”
Her persistence and trust are met with those wonderful words: “Woman, great is your faith!

God meets us in the silence, but also in the storm. When life is peaceful and when the wind is against us, Christ is present. Like Peter, we may sometimes falter and cry out, “Lord, save me!” Yet the hand of Christ is already reaching towards us.

Today's Scriptures reveal a God of extraordinary generosity, who invites the hungry to come without cost, who opens his hand to satisfy every living thing, and who takes the little we offer and makes it more than enough.

Today the Scottish Episcopal Church commemorates Blessed John Comper (1823–1885), priest, missionary, religious founder, and one of the great pioneers of the Catholic Revival in Scotland, in 1853 he came to minister in Cromart.

In today's Scriptures we are invited to ask a simple but searching question: What is the greatest treasure of our lives? Solomon asks not for riches or power, but for wisdom. Jesus speaks of the merchant who discovers the pearl of great price and gladly gives everything to possess it.

Today the Church celebrates St Bridget of Sweden (c.1303–1373) —wife, mother, widow, mystic, foundress, and one of the Patron Saints of Europe.

Her life teaches us that contemplation and action belong together. The more deeply we know Christ, the more faithfully we are sent to love our neighbour.

Today the Church celebrates St Mary Magdalene, the first witness of the Resurrection and the one sent by the risen Christ to proclaim the Good News to the Apostles. For this reason she is honoured as the "Apostle to the Apostles."

St Mary Magdalene, pray for us.

God's Kingdom often begins in small, hidden ways - but its value is beyond measure.

Join us this Sunday as we gather around Word and Sacrament to seek God's wisdom and rejoice that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.

This Sunday's readings remind us that God never gives up sowing seeds of hope, grace and new life into our hearts. Through the changing seasons of our lives, God's word continues to fall upon us, inviting us to become people who bear fruit in love, compassion and faithfulness.

We are pleased to advise that the asbestos removal work has now been fully completed, including the independent verification process confirming that no traces of asbestos remain.

Throughout the project, we have been impressed by the meticulous procedures followed by the specialist contractors.

It's often the things that go unnoticed that help keep our churches welcoming.

Today, while many of us have been sheltering from the heat, the grass has still needed cutting, paths kept clear, and the churchyards cared for. These jobs don't stop just because the temperature rises!

thank you

Sad to hear of the death of Dame Penelope Keith.

Loved by generations for The Good Life and To the Manor Born, she had a long connection with the Black Isle, where she made her home for many years. She will be remembered here with affection as well as admiration.

May she rest in peace.

Today the Church remembers St Moluag of Lismore (c.592), one of the great missionary saints of early Scotland. From his monastery on Lismore he evangelised the Picts, with a lasting legacy across the Highlands and the Black Isle, especially at Rosemarkie. May his prayers strengthen the Church today.

The familiar 🎵 Do–Re–Mi 🎵 has Christian roots.

The medieval hymn Ut queant laxis, written for the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, gave us the syllables Ut–Re–Mi–Fa–Sol–La, the foundation of the musical scale.

Today we honour the Forerunner who prepared the way of the Lord.
