Those were definitely simpler times and, I just find myself thinking of them now more than ever. I don't know. Anyways, if you hear this, remember you're not alone. And, we're still curled up, on the couch of life, playing it one step at a time. Stay safe out there, ok? - Radio broadcast

+1 to this!

@carlivelocci.com's interview and article was a high point for us during the post-release period of Pacific Drive and we're big fans, too.
Big fan of @carlivelocci.com, both as just an excellent follow here for her commentary on the reality of freelancing in Current Year, and as an industry reporter whose interviews often feel irreplaceable. Writing at the intersection of design and industry.

Resource management? Survival games are about time management.
'The moment to moment gameplay… none of that matters. That's the smoke and mirrors,' says Pacific Drive director Seth Rosen

They won't move when you look at them, you said. They won't move. Just keep an eye on them. Well, Max, I'm looking at this one right now. No, I'm more than looking at it, I'm WATCHING it, and I'm WATCHING it float toward me. - Logbook entry (Sightseer)

Whoever designed the user experience for Pacific Drive should get tenure at a video game college.

Not only because it's the most polished, intuitive, QoL-1st UI/UX I've ever experienced, but it takes someone with a true mind for player psychology to pull off stinky little pranks like this:

Pacific Drive falling square into the vanishingly small non-genre of games that feel made for me: games about driving that aren’t about racing

It feels so cool to learn the particulars of a machine well enough to rely on it alongside your dead reckoning of the terrain and what it will require

Pacific Drive is currently less than $10USD on Steam (67% off) through the weekend. I absolutely loved this game (currently >200 hours played), and it had a surprisingly moving story for a driving-survival-crafting-exploration game. If you've been on the fence for this or have any interest GO GET IT

fate fell into my hands today playing pacific drive i was in the deep zone with the only way out over a bridge blocked by a fuel tanker until i realized the peculiar nitro boost i was using as a front bumper i could switch with my rear bumper LIM shield and climb up the opposite wall

I got this TV for free from a (admittedly not very friendly) dumpster outside of an abandoned motel, it was being rained on so I thought it was a goner, but nope! Still works just fine. Pacific Drive looks great on it!
