One thing that my manager, Ben Ripple, brought up about Empower Jace that I hadn't thought of is that it's also very satisfying at a tactile level. The Jace token is in some ways a fun toy that lets you fiddle with a die/counters and move cards between zones

Descent into Avernus is actually bad for most Commander games because it speeds up the game clock too much and removes player agency. Players have to focus on too many variables and it takes away from the overall experience of "doing the thing." "Then Bob played Descent" is not a memorable story.

Mostly a big "As expected." I've probably finished less art than he'd expect, but I'm a bit prettier than he'd think. I do think he'd be very impressed how well I've gotten a handle on my mental health despite never finding a med that helped much.
