I just wanted to let those who have been wondering know that I was discharged from the hospital and have been recovering. Recovery has been slow, but I'm grateful to God, my support system, and the medical staff at Mt. Auburn that I'm still here. ❤️

As I'm navigating recovery, I'm reminded of the incredible disability activist Tinu Abayeomi-Paul:
"To be a Black disabled woman in America is to be unwillingly invisible in your greatest time of need." And truthfully, I think her words speak to Black women in pain more generally.

Just like the racism that showed up again regarding the University of Texas- Austin this last week it’s an unfriendly reminder that folks have never needed grades, test scores, percentiles, or class rank to say any of their racist garbage. It has absolutely never been about “merit” so stop it.
