i should clarify, when i write people doing bad things, it's because i am bad. they are me. more importantly, when you read about those bad things, they also become you. that's how story works. in fact, you are going to think about murder before this skeet ends. how's that feel, sicko.

It's #blackhistorymonth . Are you supporting BLACK #indieanimation and black independent media as a whole ? There's so many black indie creators making our work because studio systems tell us there's no audience. Check out this thread for a plethora of BLACK INDIE projects .

if your response to seeing people rightfully mad about clip studio paint removing a TON of assets is to say "just use xyz art program instead lol" i'm straight up slapping you silly.
if you recommend krita/procreate as an alternative for a comic/animation software i'm going to assume you are dumb

I also ask people recommending sites to host comics to disclose upfront if those platforms allow NSFW. When I was looking to host our comic, my only hard rule was being able to put prose under each page, and that I wouldn't have to censor the comic. CF was the only option I found that allowed both.

In this upcoming #webcomic exodus, I want to vouch for Comicfury some more. You can actually customize your webcomic page beyond simple page + arrows. Here's an example page of our story that's told with Art and Prose (we call it VN style but really it's just inspired by Homestuck):

My favorite RSS Reader rn is this one.

It is an application that runs on your 'puter. Just the way I like it.
If you prefer a web app that you can log into using all your phones and tablets try NewsBlur or Inoreader tho.

Nobody asked and both the Writer and my friends assure me is not an issue, but I always feel like explaining myself when I share my comic. The reason the art is Like That is because 1. I have a full-time job that I quite like and don't plan on leaving, and 2. We just want the story to be told.

I'm gonna start being more annoying about my comic.
We're almost 70 pages in, about half-way done with the first chapter and with even more story to tell. If you like comedy, drama, the supernatural, and Inuit culture, you should check it out.

everyone wants to tell artists what to do and i wish we could shift to telling audiences what to do sometimes. if you liked webcomics that were on tapas, follow somewhere else. learn to use RSS. don't let the seamlessness of apps turn your brain into soup. you can change your habits

I remember reading people's webcomic in sites they made. It was charming and cool to see so I have a whole bookmarks file and would open that every week. Maybe it wasn't perfect and reach was different, but I think the trap of modern social media is to stay there and taking the risk to lose it all.

Can't have a fucking day of peace as an artist
this is an example of what the artist-to-client scam message looks like, though there could be other versions and i haven't seen what the client-to-artist version looks like.
(not my screenshot, but this was posted in the official VGen discord server and is consistent with the reports i've seen)

draw fanart because you're passionate about it and with the understanding that the big ip you love is owned by a corporation that might break your heart in a few years. or draw soulsov fanart, because i will never break your heart. my legal counsel is advising me to say that this is a joke
