I told my stylist today that the ever increasing number of grey hairs on my head means I am running out of fucks to give and she didn’t stop laughing for 5 minutes. #gaypowersrestored

Standing on the MCO carpet after a full week at Disney World, my longest trip there in 3 years. More pics to come later, when I have a stable WiFi connection. Farewell, Orlando.

Second Funniest moment in the whole movie. (Behind the late great Madeline Kahn’s “Flames, on the side of my face”)

My first experiment with Tim Curry was watching the movie version of Clue, with him starting as Wadsworth the Butler. A master of physical comedy. 🎭 Also, humanity collectively needs to have a serious discussion with the universe about which 80 year old “celebrity” needs to be next. I have ideas.

Tim Curry has died at age 80.

The British actor was known for iconic roles like Dr. Frank-N-Furter in 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' and Pennywise in 'It.'

One of my favorite local restaurants has had a Dolly Parton themed cocktail menu all summer. I strongly recommend the “Jolene”. Just had one Sunday night as a matter of fact. Pour one out for Dolly.

I have so many good and wholesome memories around and about Dolly Parton. Singing “9 to 5” in a recording booth with my sister at Opryland. Watching her on TV and in movies. Hanging out at Dollywood on a summer afternoon with friends. Signing babies up for the Imagination Library. So much joy. 🦋 🌈

I’ve been more places than I thought. CT is a cheat because I’ve only ever driven through (turnpike) and Utah has only been an airport stop changing planes.

Am I the only one still using this? This sucks. Right in the middle of my next trip too.
August 17, 2026 at 6:36 PM
I’m all for noise ordinances around airports (looking at you MEM), but if there’s a rule that says you cannot take off until 7am, why schedule boarding at 6:15 and push back from the gate at 6:45? All of us could have used an extra 15 minutes of sleep.

At SNA connecting through DEN to MEM after D23. It was a great weekend, probably spent too much on t-shirts (always do). All in all a great show by Disney.

Just some random shots from my last Day at D23. I didn’t go to the Legends Ceremony because I didn’t want to spend another 4 hours at the Honda Center (Hour there/waiting, two hour show, one hour back). Had a nice day of shopping and visiting the exhibits.

Did I speed walk my way from the Marriott to the Convention Center when I saw Mickeys of Glendale was FINALLY off virtual queue and on standby only: yes. Am I optimistic I will find the shirt I want in stock in size: no. But holding out hope!

What was surprising is that they talked about Space Mountain in Tokyo and Paris, and talked about Disneyland’s Space Mountain and Tomorrowland, but DID NOT discuss Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain. Is it just going to rattle itself apart? Wonder if they held off for some reason.

What I enjoyed most was that they made this Parks Panel a show for both the people watching at home as well as the people at Honda Center. It was entertaining and throughly enjoyable. I’m so glad I decided to come to Anaheim this weekend and do this.
August 16, 2026 at 6:42 AM
When all was said and done, I think this years parks panel was a success. There wasn’t a lot of “new” news, mostly news about what we already knew. Fixing things that were broken (Yeti), restoring things that were taken away (Dreamfinder), and promising a great big beautiful Tomorrowland.
