And we have basic machine-vision in place to help identify harmful content. We understand discomfort with these systems, but there's great potential for harm in live video; machine-assisted moderation has long been considered a T&S best practice. Humans will always make the final rulings on bans.

Blacksky was one of the 1st PDSs to allow open sign ups
We are also now the largest PDS deployment that doesn't run any of bsky's code
Sorry for the turbulence. It was the one-time price to pay for being able to build features like private accounts or sign-in via phone number w/o waiting on Bluesky

Wow, two researchers were tackling the Navier-Stokes problem for a year without advertising their approach while using OpenAI models for assistance. When OpenAI hears of this they “discover” the exact same approach and won’t disclose whether their model plagiarized the researchers’ private sessions

I am trans and I use AI.
I have received numerous death, rape, and kys threats on Bluesky. Every time it has been from an anti-AI activist.
The anti-AI crowd is rotten and wouldn't act this way if they actually cared about trans safety. I am sick of my identity being used to defend this behavior.

Many are contrasting the bsky response to harassment of trans users to the harassment of AI developers and users.
FWIW, as a transgender developer and user of AI systems, anecdotally, I've received much more negative treatment over my use of AI than my gender on this platform.
