Really loved the movie, but that does make three recent superhero movies or shows (WW '84 and She-Hulk being the other two) where the female lead uses magic or their own powers to brainwash a male hero into physical intimacy they can't really consent to.

I think writing Brides in the Dark fundamentally changed my writing style. At least, it taught me I could put sappy stuff in the middle of the dark stuff I usually write. This is from SAMANTHAS (2027, Laughing Man House).

I don't think we give enough credit to how perfect a toy idea the Transformers were. You take a truck, something little kids were already playing with, and it turns into a great big guy who can punch people. And there's a bunch of them that all turn into different things. A fighter jet. A bulldozer.
